The origins of Drizzt Do'Urden are quite tragic and very sad. Once you read these books you will really understand what sacrifices Drizzt made to live

This trilogy is an AWESOME addition to any fan of fantasy's collection. If you've never even heard of Drizzt Do'Urden and the Companions of the Hall, which I doubt, you'll LOVE these books. If you're a first time reader or have been reading fantasy for a while pick this book up I promise once you do you won't be able to put it down.Read full review...

Don't miss!

The book that started it all! Filled with vivid images, amazing characters and a story line that keeps you wanting more. R.A. Salvatore is a master of writing in a style that is provocative yet easy to follow. Every book in this series (all 20+ books) is written with the same attention to story line and detail. Amazing character development and friendships, and antagonists that will not soon be forgotten. If you are a fan of the "Fantasy" genre this is an absolute don't miss! If you are a fan of well written and developed story lines, unbelievable battle and fight descriptions, or looking for a book that you simply can't put down, I would highly recommend picking up this series and wish you luck on a long and amazing adventure. I have read every book in this series at least twice! Also, if you liked this trilogy, I would highly recommend the "War of the Spider Queen" series that was written by 6 different authors, (one for each book) with the entire series being overseen and outlined by Salvatore himself. *FYI "The Dark elf Trilogy" and "The war of the Spider Queen" are both "dark" series. They deal with an evil and distrusting race of dark elves, however once you make it into "The Icewind Dale" series the mood and tone of the books takes a bit of a turn. However this Trilogy sets the tone for the entire series. Without knowing where our main character comes from and what is considered "normal" for his race and background, we would not truly understand how 'different' Drizzt really is.Read full review...

The Dark Elf Trilogy

My brother and I really enjoy the character of Drizzt created by R. A. Salvator. A dark elf that is good, honorable, with a connection with nature is so unusual and makes this a great piece of reading. Besides Drizzt, the side characters, especially his cat, Gwenivere, makes these books exciting and a most read. We intend to buy the entire set. JoelRead full review...

Dark Elf Trilogy

Love this book (trilogy). I bought it for a family member because I liked it so much. I would recommend all RA Salvatore publications and if you're just getting started with his Forgotten Realms books, the Dark Elf Trilogy is a great place to start.Read full review...

Great Fantacy Story

I got my friend this book for her Christmas presant. She has read most of the books in this series and they are her favorites. She wanted them in hardback because they are some of the only books she reads over and over again.Read full review...
