The Lion King 1 1/2: Is Unique and Funny.

This movie stars Timon and Pumbaa, filling us in on what really happened in the first Lion King movie. Timon and Pumbaa are in a theater watching the movie, narrating, interrupting and popping up in key scenes, which we didn't know or see in original Lion King. It doesn't feel like a Disney movie, it more slapstick like Looney Tunes but it's still touching and funny. Some critics don't like this movie because it doesn't have full scenes, the animals are narrating, and it doesn't feel flowing or as whole as the first. Most of us love the Lion King to pieces and are fanatical about any movie that does not deliver like Lion King did. But still, it's clever and fun. But it should not have been a full length feature. Timon and Pumbaa

I really did enjoy this movie, it had a lot of funny and great parts. I personally enjoyed it because I always wanted to see the back story of how Timon and Pumbaa met, and what Timon's life was like before he met Pumbaa.

It ties in a lot of parts from the first Lion King movie. The only part of this movie that I didn't enjoy was that they kept fastforwarding and rewinding the movie, and the movie theater moments. If it didn't include so much of that it would have been a lot better.Read full review...

Lion King 1 1/2 a Hit With Young Children

Lion King 1 1/2 is Timon and Pumba at their best. In fact, it is their behind the scenes story of Lion King. This movie takes us up to the meeting with Simba but from Timon and Pumba's point of view. The songs are catchy little tunes that my toddler loves to listen to over and over. Paired with all the characters of the original cast, a look into Timon's meerkat family life, an existential baboon, and an ending that would rival any swim musical from the 1940's, you have the makings of a great Disney cartoon. It was terrible waste of money

Bought it as a Christmas gift just to open it to find one of the dvds was missing out of the case and it was the movie. Waste of money because i had to turn around and buy a whole new one for the kids.Read full review...
