A Review

Not a bad yarn - the connection to Mary Shelley and Frankenstein gives a bit of literary interest, as with the Jane Austen theme in "Diamond Solitaire".

Lovesey writes well, though like Anne Perry and so many others he has the tiresome habit of studiously avoiding adverbs, so that Diamond etc are forever saying or doing something "with such-and-such". It does get so tedious!

There, there, Peter. It's all right, Anne. It's only a silly little adverb. IT WON'T HURT YOU!!
