This film was amazing !!! It is a proud member of my Vietnam War movie collection with the additional 37. It starts out a little slow but have no fear, this helps get into the mood of the characters. It is a constant buildup getting more and more intense as you're engaged with the characters. It ends with fireworks. It really helps understand some things the veterans of that generation experienced during service and post service. Plus, it's filmed in Texas with mention of my hometown. The War at Home (Blu-ray Disc, 2011)

This movie blows me away! Martin Sheen and Kathy Bates, both play roles totally unexpected and suprising as husband and wife.
The acting was believable of all characters, and it really makes you stop and think about the horrors that our soldiers had to endure in Vietnam. This is a wake up call addressing our need to honor and do more for our vetrans and their families.
