A very informative and handy book to have when out foraging.

I was impressed by this little book, mainly because of the extra effort by the authors in obtaining photos of the plants/weeds at various stages of their life, because some of them look very different when they are young versus old.
A few of the plants I have never noticed in Western Australia, so I am not sure if they are east coast specific only. I will keep my eye out now I have my forager's handbook and see if I can't spot them here.

Concise, informative, well-illustrated

Full of needed details to identify plants, as well as a designated section on potential hazards of foraging. Included index and such scientific detail on plants as would prove useful and possibly facilitate further research. Lots of pictures. A lot smaller and better quality binding than I anticipated--useful to actually take out on walks to find plants! Also included some recipes to help cook these new ingredients, and practical tips on getting started on foraging. Side note: Utilised creative commons as well as copyright images--good to start thinking about open source information in the real world!)Read full review...

Great little book for the adventurous foodie

Never had I realised you could eat so many common garden weeds, this little book is very clear, easy to read and importantly printed for Australian gardens. Don't poison them, eat them.

Informative guide

This sweet book is a good guide to introducing you to hunting for edible weeds. Has good photos ID and illustrations, interesting history and recipes included. You will never look at another weed quite the same again. It is small enough to carry in your bag or backpack as a companion reference.

Small but big on information

A fabulous book that makes you look at weeds differently. Colour pictures make it easy to identify each weed and there are recipes too. A very handy reference.

With this book you'll discover there's food everywhere if you only know where to look.

A handy little book that packs a lot of information in and won't take up room in your day pack. After reading this they're weeds no longer, some are super foods. Great value.

Very helpful identification

Love the book, it easily identifies a lot of weeds in my garden that I use to pull up and compost, now my family eats them and we all enjoy and recognize all of the plants...sorry weeds in it.

A tiny book, perfect to take into the field

I expected a book that was A4 size this is NOT. It’s a small book, easy to carry along looking and learning. A couple a recipes, and plenty of the usual weeds you’d expect to find.
