Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (for Wii)

This was a Christmas present for my 11-year-old son. He loves all the Zelda games and comics. He began playing this game almost immediately after opening it. It is a role-playing game. If you are not familiar with the "Zelda" series, the title may be misleading. It sounds like a game for girls, but I would say it is mostly for boys, as the main character is a boy named "Link". You play the role as Link, and go through several adventures, solving problems, searching for items, fighting battles, and even turning into a wolf. I am not familiar with all of the terminology for the game or for the Wii, but I do know that in this I can be sure, my son loves the game, and I would recommend it for anyone his age who likes to play the role-playing games, and or anyone who likes the Zelda stories.Read full review...

Gotta love Zelda!!

Anyone who has ever played a Legend of Zelda game knows just how amazingly fun these are. This one does not disappoint at all. In fact, it exceeded all of my expectations. On top of that, the Wii makes this Zelda much better than all the others. The controls have changed this game so much that it is the most engaing Zelda yet. I played this game on the Gamecube and when I got my Wii, I decided to play it again on the Wii. It was like a completely different experience. If you haven't played it on the Wii yet, you simply must. From swinging a sword and blocking with the shield, to fishing, to shooting a bow or slingshot, I had so much fun and recommend this game to all Zelda lovers everywhere.Read full review...

An Amazing Must Buy Game!

Pros:
~Addictive Gameplay
~GREAT Story
~Wonderful use of Wiimote/Nunchuk
~Hours and Hours of Gameplay
~The Twilight Hack (google it and be amazed!)
~NO NAVI!

Cons:
~A Little More Straight Forward than other Zelda Games

Summary:
This game will WILL keep you busy for HOURS on end. The graphics are amazing and the sound effects are just as good. Nintendo did a wonderful job utilizing ALL the Wiimote's abilities including the speaker in the Wiimote. I have played BOTH the Gamecube AND Wii versions of this game and the Wii version wins by a long shot. This is because of the unique controls, better graphics/sound, and after you are bored of the game you can still utilize the Twilight Hack to have even more fun!

Overall...
This game is a MUST HAVE game for ANY Wii owner and will be the best possible investment for your Wii!

Score-
5/5 Excellent

Excellent Wii game

"Zelda" is a great, interactive puzzle and role-playing game. There are lots of challenging puzzles, tools, and monsters to fight. It's been given the highest rating by many video game reviewers and I can see why. The best thing is, though, is that it has a finite end. It's not like some of the subscription-based MMORPG games that rope you in and keep you there for years as they add new content. We're looking forward to the next installment of Zelda.Read full review...

Great game, good value

This has always been a favorite game of mine, well, the Zelda series. I haven't played it yet, but I'm sure it will challenge me as the others did.

Another Gem

Like most other Zelda games, Twilight Princess is a retelling of the same basic tale, though this one is not without its twists. There's a princess named Zelda, a land called Hyrule, and a world that's on the verge of destruction if you don't do something to save it. In this installment, there's a darkness creeping across the land, locking it in the eternal dusk of the twilight realm. You play as Link, a humble, pointy-eared boy who lives in a far-off village and herds goats for a living, yet he ends up getting involved in the conflict. The twilight that's infected the land is an alternate reality of sorts, serving as the game's equivalent of A Link to the Past's dark, alternate world, or in some cases, serving the same purposes as the adult Link/child Link differences in Ocarina. The difference here is that when you're in the twilight, you're transformed into a blue-eyed wolf.Read full review...

THE BEST ZELDA GAME EVER

The controls are easy and the boss fights are fun and challenging. This game is a must have for anyone with a Wii. There are many different side quests within the game and the storyline is great. There are different attack moves to unlock and more. When I first played this game I was amazed. The graphics are good the controls are great and the storyline is amazing. You don't have to have played the other zelda games to understand what is happening in this one. I loved this game and had to beat it the week I got it. There is nothing you can disklike about this game I recommend it for anyone who wants a slightly challenging game or an overall awesome game!Read full review...

Zelda does it again with an amazing adventure!

This game is amazing! Great story lines, awesome controls, sweet graphics, great music/soundtrack/sound effects! It is a must-buy for the Wii. Once you get started it will be hard to put down. It will be hard to stop playing this game until you've beat it, and that may take a while. However, the wait is well worth it. When you think you're done collecting everything; think again! Long gameplay made this the most worth-while 50 bucks I've spent in a long time! (except for strip clubs and hookers of course) Nintendo has done it again! They are freaking wizards over there. Buy this game and you will not be disappointed!Read full review...

HEY. HEY LISTEN. HEY. LISTEN!

My only complaint is that there is no Navi in this game, but, I have to say, I think Midna makes up for it.

The game play is very similar to any of the zelda games, you're made aware of training for each move at the very beginning, including special moves for your wolven form. It's kind of hard to play an ocarina when you have no opposable thumbs, you know!

The details in the scenery is also amazing! And also very distracting. I find myself staring at the backdrops more than what I'm doing!

The story line, I think, is actually pretty good. Considering that this is, what, the er.. Nineth game in the series? Yeah, I'd be strapped for good stories too at this rate, but, they came through with a wonderful werewolf theme, which I never would have seen coming.

The story probably could have had a bit more development, and a bit more dialoug, too. It's a disappointment that it didn't step up to Final Fantasy standards in that aspect. It's somewhat pensive to try and figure out what he's saying by staring at the back of his head when he's conversing with another NPC.

I have to admit, though, the temples are a LOT harder than they used to be. I really enjoy a challenge myself, so this is a perfect game for that. I find myself sitting at the television at the butt crack of dawn still playing this game.

Pros:

+ Amazing graphics
+ New storyline
+ New characters and interaction
+ It's Zelda, c'mon.

Cons:

- Very time consuming
- Somewhat repetitive Zelda wise
- No Navi :

Regardless of the pros and cons, it's a definite worth by.
