a good gift for a Harry Potter fan and works well as a chess set too.
I bought this as a present for an adult HP fan and can only comment on their reaction to it - they love it!
Apparently, the pieces are weightier than they appear, so they sit nicely on the board.
I was unsure about the "good value" question - it seems rather expensive,

Cheap plastic lightweight rubbish at £50 - no value at all for the money
I chose this chess set as it had unusual pieces from Harry Potter stories. Paying £50 for a chess set I would have expected decent quality pieces but instead I was extreme not disappointed when I opened the box to find very cheap light weight plastic pieces.
