AWESOME Cookbook! Can't wait to really give it a whirl!

My sister's friend SWEAR's by this book so when my finicky toddler turned ONE, I could see the hesitation in his eating habits. He goes through so many stages and phases and I REFUSE to be a "short-order-chef". I just got this book and have read it from cover to cover and I can't wait to get my food processor for my bday and get all my purees ready to go so I can start trying out all of the different recipes! I think it's also a great way to get the WHOLE FAMILY eating healthier! Will definately help me out also after I have my 2nd baby (I am 6 mos pregnant now) to lose weight and eat healthy while I am nursing. Great price - Great DEAL on eBay!Read full review...

Great buy!

I love this book because it aides me in providing my children healthier meals. I decided to buy the book because it contains a lot of great ways to prepare my childrens' favorite foods with the vegetables they need but they won't be able to tell the difference in taste. I would not have to find ways to get them to eat vegetables separately from the foods they love. This book is a genious remedy by Missy Lapine to add to your kitchen. It also gives you new ideas and foods to try with children. Great buy.Read full review...

Isaac's Belly

I love that all the recipes are actually foods that kids love. From macaroni & cheese to burritos. I bought this book because I read about it on a website & a friend recommended it as well. I haven't made anything yet. It kinda seems like a lot of items to buy to make some simple foods. I think it would be more worth it to me if I had more than one child. Overall, it has some really good ideas & I look forward to trying some of them out.Read full review...

EXCELLENT resource

I love this book. I have spent the past 3 days trying various recipes, and thus far, all have been met with great success. The exception was a "quick fix" for boxed mac-n-cheese. I started with Annie's (strike one) and tried to incorporate both tofu (strike two) AND the orange veggie puree (strike three). Just too much at once. I should have followed her advice to incorporate things SLOWLY. Another reader stated that the brownies were "icky", but my family and I found them DELICIOUS: moist and chocolatey with not a hint of what was really in them (pureed spinach and blueberries). Overall, a great book. I use baby food for most of the purees, which saves a lot of time.Read full review...

have kids?You need this book!

This is a great book, teaching you how to get extra vegies into your kids at meal times!
Things that are simple yet very effective.
For example she has you "prepare" a squash the then fezze it,or buy jared pureed baby food
Then next time you make alfredo, you throw a serving or two of the squash in it!
Another one of our favorites is the grilled cheese, snaek vegies in there and they never notice!
There are a ton of tips and tricks to get your family to eat better :)
As a mom of 3 kids, all have ASD and 2 are very SPD,and they can even sence the sneaky food in it .........I would recomend this book to other moms.....

Happy to eat healthy!

Wow, I've never been one to sacrifice taste for healthy choices, but with these recipes I don't have to. The ziti was great, as were the burritos. My husband wouldn't have eaten them had he known what was in them, but in his ignorance he went back for seconds (as did my oldest child.) The texture and taste of the brownies were a little different, but were good enough to satisfy my very persistent sweet tooth. I highly recommend this book for people who want healthy eating habits and have time to cook homemade foods.Read full review...

I've been using the recipies frequently - great book!

My son is a picky eater,so I first tried the book through our library. It has been such a hit without him knowing that's why I decided to purchase the book. I don't always use the exact recipies but, I have learned to adapt them to the things my family likes. This book is much better than the "deceptively delicious" book!!! Thanks for such a great product.Read full review...

The Sneaky Chef

I have tried several cookbooks trying to cook healthier for my family, and most have turned out terribly. But, everyone loved the recipes out of this one. In fact, my husband said that most of the recipes tasted better than their original versiopns. I feel better knowing that even if my kids don't eat their veggies they are still getting them in the other food. An excellent idea, and I would say a much better book than the Deceptively Delicious which my family did not like.Read full review...

Almost Perfect

This book was definately worth the money, less expensive than Deceptively Delicious, its copycat book. My only complaint would be the lack of pictures. If it had more photos of the recipes that would be great. Otherwise its awesome and has far more recipes and easier quick fixes than its copycat.Read full review...

Sneaky Indeed!

My youngest child (who is now six) was a great eater, until he turned two! My daughter (now age 24) found this book at the library and tried several recipes and found that, indeed, we could sneak some very healthy foods into my son's diet. And the funny thing is, he thinks the title is so cool that he wants my daughter to make recipes from it. I guess every kid likes the idea of being sneaky! Well, we couldn't keep the book from the library forever, so I told my daughter I would buy it. If you have more than one child, you are bound to have at least one fussy eater - this is a must-have!Read full review...
