Still early days, but I think the Slippery Elm Bark is making a difference. I am taking an even more expensive liquid product, which I am planning to ween myself off, so the litmus test will be when that happens. Not chewable
The tablets were FAR too hard to chew which was a shame as the ingredients were good. I had to chop them in a food processor which was also extremely difficult.

Lovely natural alternative to Gaviscon/Mylanta
Of all the brands of slippery elm tablets, I find this is the best one, especially for heartburn/GERD. As they are chewable and suckable, they provide a coating for the oesophagus. Other tablets usually have to be swallowed with water, so they only affect the stomach and don't have the same effect. If you can get used to the weird taste (I'd describe it as like sweet tree bark), I find them more effective for relief than Mylanta or Gaviscon.Read full review...
