a mixed bag

First of all - if you want to play this game online, do not buy a used copy unless the online pass is included and unused, otherwise EA will attempt to charge you $9.99 for the "luxury" of playing online. Also, there's a bunch of DLC that they will try to nickle-and-dime you for.

The last Tiger Woods game I played was 07 and I gotta say that this is a bit of a disappointment. For being a PS3 game, the graphics aren't really that great. The commentary is boring and often repetitive. The putting is absolutely awful and makes no sense. There's no longer bunches of customizable animations or funky clothes. It's just a very boring game overall, and forget about playing online... the people that play online apparently do NOTHING BUT play this game online because they're all shooting 20 under par or better.

A new feature to the game called "true aim" is absolutely useless, but the putting is by far the worst element of the game and will cost you many strokes. I've played for a few days now an I still have no clue how it works, because it's quite difference than earlier Tiger Woods games. Also, leveling up your putting-related stats makes no difference whatsoever. You can spend a whole minute lining up a shot and even using the putt preview (which is never accurate in my opinion) and still miss by 5 feet. Putts within 4 feet of the cup are no longer "gimme's" either. It is very easy to miss a short putt in this game. The ball likes to magically stop a half inch from the cup all the time.

I honestly feel as though this franchise just keeps getting worse and worse even though the graphics have slightly improved since the Playstation 2 days. Even with all of it's flaws, however, it's still probably the best golf game on Playstation 3, since the '12 version of Tiger Woods is even worse than this one!!Read full review...

Good game for the golfer in your life, despite diffuculties with controls.

I purchased this product to use with the PS3 Move. I was disappointed to find if you have to download updates in order for the game to work with the Move. This can be frustrating if you happen to have an older PS3 without internal router.

Another problem I have with the game is the need to use the regular controller even when you are using the Move controller. The graphics are nice on this. It's amusing the characters you can create.

As stated, I purchased this game with the soul reason that it can be used with the Move. It is nice being able to use the controller like a golf club, it gives it a more realistic feel.Read full review...

I HAVEN`T HAD THE GAME FOR THAT LONG BUT THE TIGER WOODS 2009-2010 I HAVE FOR MY XBOX 360 LOOK A LITTLE CLEANER THAN THE 2011 VERSION I HAVE FOR MY PS3! TIGER WOODS AT HIS BEST

THIS GAME IS SO AWESOME AND REAL. GREAT GRAPHIC GREAT GAMEPLAY AND THE NEW FOCUS AND TEAM PLAY ONLINE WHEN YOU PLAY AGAINST A BUNCH OF YOUR FRIENDS IS TOTALLY AWESOME. PS3 Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11

This game is very good and keeps you wanting to play more and more. You can even take a camera shot of yourself and become a player (takes a little time), and all the names you would want to be or play are in this game. Just a great game. I have played alot of the tiger woods golf games over the years and this one is the toughest and most accurate when it comes to ball striking and pin difficulty. You really have to concentrate when you play this game because it will make you look bad just like real life. I thoroughly love this game and recommend it to others out there.Read full review...

Better then expected

I stopped bying the Tiger Woods series after the 2005 edition. I just didnt think it was going anywhere. I finally submitted to getting the 2011 and it has been worth the wait. I will for sure get next years when alas I can play Agusta National. (virtually anyway) outstanding graphics and true feel for the game from a true hacker.Read full review...
