Extremely outdated, cumbersome, hard to operate

Its worth your time and effort to not invest in this GPS, you'll be better off with your phone or even an atlas, touch screen is VERY slow to respond, battery doesn't last long AT ALL! Updating it will cost you the equivalent of buying a new one, look elsewhere, its slow and frustrating, last I checked, GPS was meant to make travel a little less frustrating this makes you want to rip your hair out.Read full review...

Read the information, this baby does a lot if u no how to use it.easily download new info. u can record and use a voice of choice- use colors- and add pictures. Add your favorite destinations- this thing has a memory. car and computer chargeable- 2 hr. battery life. Nice screen size and adjustable for night use. Too much garabe on this thing and hard to find the place to type in destination

I am having a hard time just trying to enter an address I want to go to it offers me everything but that. and it telling me wrong instructions probably cause the address was so hard to put in or not at all. This should have come with instructions. :-(Read full review...

Reliable and just what I needed

I bought this for my girlfriend, who is directionally challenged. When I played with it, it didn't have as many cool features as I thought. I somewhat expected it to have a better picture, and more useful menus. However, it is a gps, and it does exactly what a gps is supposed to do without any hesitation. Within a few minutes I figured out exactly how to get it to do all the various things I felt it needed to do, so I'm very happy. It's not that chic, but it's a great pure gps.Read full review...

Tom Tom One XL US and Canada Maps GPS

Price on this on EBAY was nice and low with free shipping which was great. The unit is in decent shape and appears to function correctly. Only problem with this unit is that the maps in it are over 10 years old. I do not plan to pay for an update since basically bought it cheap to have Canada and Alaska Maps capable GPS to drive up Alaskan Hiway to Alaska from lower 48. One thing about TOM TOMs I do not care for is their large size in depth from front to back and how they are made in a curved back fashion as compared to a Garmin which is thinner and not curved. Also the power plug coming out of the bottom makes it hard to set the unit down somewhere in the car for viewing when not using the carriage (and this used unit came with no carriage or power plug which was how it was correctly advertised to be without). I really liked the unit, it was easy to use and seems to take me to the right place. it doesnt always know the super secret route but im not worried about that i get where i need to go. i had to download the owners manual to figure out all the features but after that it was really user friendly... oh and downloading the manual was quick, it was very accessible!Read full review...

Easy to use!

This was easy to use on my road trip in Italy. I programmed in hotel and airport addresses before I left the US. Also, the charger & adapter will also charge your phone or tablet in the car or hotel!

Works Great

I like the voice choices. It's easy to use and plugs into my cigarette lighter in the car. It came with the car cord but and windshield mount, but the cable to connect to my computer was missing.
