While my other laser level is good, it was next to worthless outside in the sunshine. When I received the H5A, I immediately took it outside to see if it lived up to the hype. It did. So far, so good. Was highly recommended to me from several people.

I have only had the unit for a short time but it seems to work perfectly (as they all do when they are brand new). This is my third laser but it is my first Topcon. The two previous were CST Bergers. The first one worked for a long time, 8+ years. The second one didn't last even 3 years and it couldn't be repaired. Topcon came highly recommended so I am hopeful.Read full review...

nice laser but I don't understand why they decided to remove the charging port

The rechargeable batteries have to be removed to charge them and cannot be charged while using
the laser. The previous model had a port to plug the charge into without removing the batteries or having to stop using the laser while it chargesRead full review...
