Cheap but needs improvement
This is a really good deal for a recoil pad. The down side it has no hard backer or screw holes. What I did to secure it to my rifle was to drill two holes halfway through and then epoxy it directly to the stock. If they could put a hard backer and screw holes and charge a dollar more it would sell like hot cakes.Read full review...

Pad is OK, but requires Modification.
Pad is not bad, but understand it needs modification to be installed. There is no buttplate, no screw set, no holes in pad to install screws through. Must measure for your buttstock hole pattern, drill holes for screws and since buttplate is not included, use your original, make your own, (glueing pad to the plate) or drill screw holes wide enough to allow washers to be inserted so that the soft rubber of the pad doesn't tear away from the screws holding the pad to the buttstock. And be careful not to drill so deep that the pad becomes too thin to hold without tearing. Also note that the diamond lattice pattern that softens the recoil does not go all the way laterally across the recoil pad, there is a center ridge that does not compress as easy as the air spaces of the pattern. After shooting the first time, I wasn't impressed with the pads performance in reducing the recoil so I drilled the center ridge out sideways through the pattern holes in order to soften the pads ability to cushion against the recoil. This made the pad considerably softer while shooting. If you want an inexpensive recoil pad and don't mind a Do-It-Yourself project, this can be an effective solution. At this price, (about $8-9) you could even get two or three for the price of a high quality, made to fit, name-brand recoil pad. See the photos includedRead full review...

Best For A Youth Rifle/Shotgun
Size is almost accurate. At widest point, it is 4.14 cm, or 1 5/8”. At longest point, it is 12.4 cm or 4 7/8”. This would be best fit for a youth rifle or youth shotgun, unless you plan on doing some sanding/filing of your stock. The material is nice and a bit flexible, so it will form to the curve of the stock. There are no pre-drilled holes, nor is there a hard backing plate to keep screw heads from pulling all the way through. I would say you would need to glue/epoxy this to your stock for the most secure fit. Overall, a great value, but wished it was oversized for trimming. Read full review...

Good pad but different
Yes ,it is what it is. It is a soft pliable pad that would absorb a lot of the recoil. After examining the pad it is more acceptable to be glued to the stock than to use mounting screws. There is no hard backing plate for the screws to tighten against. With that said, a non-professional may be able to glue it on with less effort than a conventional mounting system with screws.Read full review...

Adequate recoil pad.
These pads were listed as shotgun pads. They are small for shotgun pads. They can be used on smaller shotguns and rifles. The price makes taking a chance worthwhile. Lucky for me, I have lots of projects in the pipeline. These will fit some of them.Read full review...

Not bad for an inexpressive pad
Not bad for an inexpressive pad. Grinds easy for fitting and has no pre-dilled attachment screw holes,so you can place them where needed.

Good value but hard to fit correctly.
With pre drilled holes it will take a long time to accurately drill holes in the butt pad. It would be easier to re drill the stock. Also without pre drilled Holes the pad might be easily pulled off.<br>The holes have to have a step to support the head. The quality of the product seem very good and a very good value.Read full review...

Recoil Pad that stands out from the rest in price and features
The product is very good. It is not overly soft and will definately work to reduce the felt recoil of a high powered rifle. I like that it was not drilled for holes whick allows me to drill them myself ensuring a proper fit. The colour is great not the usual black or brown. I couldn't think of any cons. I am in the process of refinishing the rifle it's going on so the complete job has not been done just the preliminary fitting. Read full review...

May work if glued to stock
Pad has no hard base for the screws to not go through. The pad could be glued but why would you want to glue a pad on. I ended up buying a Kick-Ezz pad. I would not buy this pad again unless the put a hard plate at the base of the pad to keep the screws from going through.Read full review...
