Fantastic Work of Engineering

The Transformers Masterpiece product line is bringing toy designs to Tranformers fans such as myself which we have been waiting 30 years for. The transformation process for this Ironhide figure is fun and intuitive. There are two notable flaws to the figure. The first is the red panels (doors) on the side of Ironhides hips. Having this figure in hand while watching the 80's cartoon series, I notice that Ironhide's sides dark gray under his arms, and his hips should be light gray/silver all the way around. The second issue seems to be that part of the shoulders were assembled incorrectly. Small qc issues

The small issues I have are as follows.
1). The heels won't flip out they are on very tight pins and there's a dear if they are forced they will snap.
2). There is a spot under the windshield that is supposed to flip down in robot mode and again very tight pin will not budge.
3). There was supposed to be a little cutout screen displaying a technical readout to fit inside the chest that was not included but according to the parts list should of been.

All in all, a very good toy!

Transformation is complex enough to warrant realism, yet the instructions make it easy. Well made plastic, but the joints are just a tad weak. LOTS of accessories and add-ons, but Japanese text is difficult to comprehend certain functions.Read full review...

Best version of Iron hide yet,came with extras ,some iwasnt expecting.directions were kinda over welming. Hard to believe this is a KO

Compared with my other official Takara figures, this knock-off version is hard to distinguish. It has a good weight to it, some joints are a bit loose, but overall worth every bit of the cost. Would highly recommend for Masterpiece collectors on a budget.Read full review...
