not a deep pan

installed on a 48re. says that it will add 4 quarts. I took out 8 quarts put back in 8.5 quarts. it is very rugged looks to be made to last. it's definitely heavy duty but it does not add 4 quarts maybe 1 quart. looks good but if you are looking at lowering temperatures better go with a different brand. Nice to have a drain plug now, will add 4qts to trans capacity to 48RE trans, the filter that comes with this will not fit 48RE trans it would fit 727 or 518,

Works good. 727/518 +4 qts 47/48RE/RH 1qt

On a A727/518 it adds about 4 qts. Now on a 46,47,48 RE/RH It only adds about 1qt extra The 727’s witch this was originally made for has about a 2” shorter pan. Where as the 47/48’s are really close to the same hight as this pan witch in turn only adds about a qt of extra fluid to the pan. But with it being aluminum and having the fins it will help in lowering the temperature some.. Plus it has a drain plug & a place to add a temperature sender witch is a big plus for the cummins guys that want to keep an eye on fluid temps.. They need to change the wording to say what/how much extra it hold per transmission.. Read full review...
