Stabilises temertures nicely.
The flat heating element part of the belt is of a soft, clingy plastic that is easy to place and adjust. It's long enough to go across two 20 litre tubs next to each other (but not around both tubs) and keep them above 30 degrees. Works a treat! Better than a bottom pad which would likely cause yeast autolysis, and uses very little electricity compared to an oil column heater that I used last autumn/winter/early spring.
