At this price they are worth thinking about

At the sub $30 price range I think we might have a gaming headset that is actually of good value for once. Build quality is painfully plastic but at $29 that is acceptable. Pads are stiff but likely replaceable so you can always buy a set of brainwavez pads instead. Wireless has a slight hiss but while playing games or audio you can't hear it. Microphone is acceptable, not great but not horrifically awful either. Audio has a plastic quality to it but as testing this on my PC I would be alright to say that it seems fairly neutral for once. Usually these things have elevated highs and low end making games sound like bloated whales screeching on a beach but not this headset. Playing a bit of CS:GO on my PC with the new HRTF sounded fairly clear with decent detail (No, this won't beat a pair audiophile headphones you will want better cans for that) . Sound stage was enough also for a closed back pair of plastic cans that cost less then $30. What else is there to say about this? Distance was alright also.

To me, this should be the go-to headphones for people who want play their PC games on the living room with a steam controller at night to not disturb people who are sleeping. If you are planning on playing on a desk then you know there is better options already and you should be hunting down a pair of wired headphones. (kingston's offerings are actually good and they are entry level audiophile quality) But when you simply wanna play on a TV these are actually nice for the price.

Again, no these are not amazing headphones, you can do better in actual sound quality for even $20 more you could get the takstar HI2050 but looks like they been discontinued sadly, $30 bags you a pair of phillips shp9500s which decimates this but those don't have the versatility that this does and neither of those have a microphone and they are not wireless. And that alone makes this worthwhile in my book.

Wireless is Convenient, Very Uncomfortable, Sound is Terrible on PC

Very poor quality sound. Virtually no low end and the high end is screechy. I am using this on PC and had to download a third party equalizer just to get these to the point where I could tolerate listening to anything on it and it still doesn't sound as good as most headsets do right out of the box. It's as if there's some sort of built in loudness equalization that you can't turn off and it nearly cuts out certain frequencies.

Beyond the sound, the padding is very hard and has no give at all. These are very uncomfortable to wear for long periods and I have been forced to add extra padding. They also have absolutely no noise cancellation - you can clearly hear people talking anywhere in your vicinity and the sound from the headset can be clearly heard by others nearby.

Maybe the presets (which are completely disabled when plugged into PC but can be used on console) make these sound better but these have poorer quality sound than dollar store headphones. The only reason I am keeping these is because I have the custom EQ to make them tolerable and I really need the convenience of wireless. I do not recommend them.

My 4th Pair (because my kids keep taking them)

I use these on my PC. They plug and play, just make sure you go in and change your sound settings. My voice is crystal clear, for better or worse, on these. Sound is great. Bass is punchy and deep without being annoying or distorted. Voices are clear. I use these for work too, on Skype. I got refurbs at a deep discount, and the ones I've been using are over 2 years old now, and still going strong. Read full review...

Earpads were comfortable, multi-platform rocks, and very affordable! 5/5

The multi-platform feature is a real money saver! 7/10 audio quality, 8/10 mic, and overall a very wise, and fantastic purchase. The color is fitting for any gamers battle station. My only complaint would be to add a little more cushion on the top of the headset, but nevertheless it is still a comfortable fit. The earpads were comfortable, with a nice snug feeling, and fit nicely over my ears (FYI, I do have somewhat small ears though). Overall, for the very appealing price of about $70, this was a great purchase!Read full review...

Amazing Headset Cheaply Put Together

I have used this same headset for 7 years now,and i recently ordered a new one. Over those years i have purchased 5 in total of these headsets with my new order being the 5th of the bunch. I can confidently say that this headset is worth the price if you are on a low budget, i have have had multiple 80$ headsets that perform worse than this.Although i love this headset it definitely has its cons, with the main one being it is made cheap, but not how you would think. The mic quality and sound are fine, but the outer headset,"its shell" is cheaply put together and can break easily. The weakest point of the mic is where the the plastic and the earphones meet (image included) out of all the px3 headsets i have owned 3 has broke in the same spot so i would advice you to be gentle when putting them on and taking them off and you should be fine. Although i have ran into this issue 3 times i still can't stop buying this same product because of how good,"for the price" the sound and mic quality are. If that isn't a testament to how much i love and support this mic i don't know what is.

Pros: Good-Soundquality,Good-Mic,Easy-Setup,Comfortable,Long-Batterylife,Good-Company-Support

Cons: Cheaply put together,Breaks Easily'

-Update after receiving my new headset within a day it broke i cannot describe how disappointed i am in this product. All i did was sit in place and watch YouTube videos all of a sudden the side poped off. this will be the last time i ever purchase one again I would highly recommend you buy anything else but this. (image below for the piece that broke off on the first day)

Oldie but a goodie

Turtle Beach no longer produces this model, but don't let that stop you from picking them up if your on a budget and want a quality wireless headset. This is my second pair, my first lasted me many years. The only thing that seems to go wrong with them is cosmetic, the plastic bezel piece from where the headphones extend will pop off for some people. Mine came off after I had them for a couple of years but my brothers came off after 4 months. It can be super glued back on easily.Read full review...

A whole new experience!

As someone who never owned gaming headsets I must say that these have changed my gaming experience for the good. They are very comfortable, the sound quality is really good (to the point that I've been getting scared of my own footsteps in the games lately since I could not hear them before) and they are very easy to use. You can control whether or not to turn on your mic and the volune for the game and chat are modulated separately. The only wire you will be dealing with constantly is the one that goes to your controller, the other ones are for the transmissor that you can leave near your console. I really love them!Read full review...

For the money, a nice headset for listening to music. OK for game play

Bought this headset for gaming. For the money, a good headset overall.
Pros: Long battery life. Not too uncomfortable. (I usually do NOT buy over the ear headsets because of comfort issues) The price. Multi options for pc connections. Excellent sound for listening to music. I have had several compliments on the sound quality of the microphone.

Cons: Not very good surround sound at all. I was disappointed with the lack of surround. Not great for game play.

Good at first

these were good at first, but after 2 weeks they went down hill. First they would cut out, then they wouldnt even connect. I had to restart my computer every time for them to connect. I always checked to make sure they were on PC mode and I did the connection reset and that wouldnt work. Have had a harder time with these than just walking around the house carrying the laptop around. Read full review...
