U2 at their peak in the 90's, Zoo TV is a classic

Bought for husband's birthday as he is a big fan and had not got Zoo TV on DVD so now he has. The sound is the best, and alot of the mainstream hits are here: Pride (In the name of Love), Where the streets have no names, Angel, and lots more. This was filmed in Sydney, Australia so no language problem for UK viewing and we get all the jokes (especially about cricket - not sure the audience did though!) Superb set as ever and just good quality all round. DVD goes straight into Play all mode so no waiting around for the menu to boot up, but the menu is there is you want it, which is a brilliant idea. Nice material in the pack too so all good.Read full review...

U2 At there best live in concert

For anyone who has not had the pleasure of seeing U2 live then you are missing a treat. I do like U2 but am not what you would call a major fan but when you see them on stage you realise what a fantastic band they are.Bono is probably the ultimate frontman to a rock group and you can see he has so much fun on stage and the crowd love him.I have to admit that when i bought this dvd i was looking for the 2 disc version that has loads of extras on the second discbut soon realised i had bidded on the wrong version the 1 disc version. But it was mainly the show that i wanted to see again so it was not a major letdown. This is from the zoo tv tour in australia from i think around 92 or 93. This was a phenomenal tour not just for them but for the world of music. They pushed the boundaries with this show and went on to push them even further about 5 years later with the pop mart tour before kind of going back to there roots a little for the last two shows and letting bono and the band do there talking with there music and not with tv's and special effects. this show was available for vhs for many years before getting released on dvd.I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who even faintly likes U2. Fingers crossed they may now release there popmart show from mexico as that now seems to be the only one one that is not yet officially released on dvd even though the show is available in music for through itunes if you buy all of u2 catalogue. Zoo TV live...... Wanted this for ages!

I remember this tour launching way back and it has always been a DVD that if released, I would purchase. Having already a healthy U2 DVD collection this was a welcome addition.
I love the collectable stickers from the Zoo TV tour in the booklet, they for me were a real bonus in this purchase. The concert itself is good but if you are familiar with the other U2 shows I feel Bono in this tour has an even bigger ego than usual!
Very good value for money and a purchase I am very happy with.

U2 - Not at their best

This dvd must represent one of the worst performances ever by U2.Take 'The Edge' out of the equation, and it really would have been abysmal.

I bought the dvd, because I am a U2 fan,and have seen them live on more than one occassion, and considered that the concert represented a good cross section
of their work.
