Windows 10 fully working serial port to usb adaptor
I purchased one of these adaptors to connect a old school dexdrive device to my windows 10 pc. As this product came with a driver disc along with the adaptor cable it made installing the device a simple matter. Once i set the correct com port for the device it connected without any issues. It just works. . .
Tried four other serial converters and found the common chips used in them would never be compatible with Windows 10. This unit worked as soon as it was plugged in without separate driver install. Well made, robust construction. Not worth saving a few bucks on cheaper units that will never work with modern OS's or wasting valuable time dicking around with settings.Read full review

USB to Serial adapter cable that works
I used this cable for communication between my motorcycle ECU and my laptop. The cheaper adapter cables do not work because the ECU requires a 12V signal but the USB signal is only 5V. This cable has the Prolific PL2303 RA chipset that has a charge pump to boost the 5V signal for true serial compatibility. I had absolutely no problem getting this cable to communicate between the two devices.Read full review

No nonsense adapter
