Very pleased with quality - no duds so far.
These seem to be a bit heavier than others I've used so I'm hoping they are better suited to heavy use. Usually out of 100 I will have a few that won't work but I'm about halfway thru this 100 and so far all have been good. I liked my coaster when I was a kid, but don't like these kinds of coaters.
i've purchased Kodak brand blank DVDs before and had good luck with them. Unfortunately, this batch produced many, many coasters. Must have been a bad run. Of course, this can happen with any bulk purchase. One 50-piece stack was good, the other 50-piece stack had lots of coasters. I think I'll stick to Verbatim from now on. Best DVD brand for burning that I've found, even better than SONY and especially Phillips
After years of burning backup data and my personal movies I swear by Verbatim DVD-R being the absolute best. Also remember to buy Verbatim DVD-(MINUS) R. Better than the plus R imho opinion and less 'useless coasters' in the trash. I highly recommend these over any others including MEMOREX, SONY, PHILLIPS, ETC. At least in my personal experience? best disc's out there to back up your dvd's
i use these Verbatim -R disc's exclusively. i have tried many different brands of discs to back up my dvd's and have 99.999% success using these and lots of failures and bad discs with the other brands. it is legal to make a back up copy of the dvd's you purchase, and i back up every one i purchase, and i have a huge library of over 2000 dvd's, all to protect my investment. if you want to protect your investment you will buy the Verbatim-R discs!Read full review...

As a heavy user of discs-about 100 a month-the Verbatim discs are one of the better cheaper discs one can use for archival purposes unless the information is of major importance. If that's the case, invest in a disc that specializes and is designed for archival only for optimum quality.
But to save everyday information-audio or video-which will be used or played as one uses to play VHS tapes in the" olden" days-the disc is acceptable.
For each 50 set-there may be one bad disc a set but it's been rare. Mostly consistent product.Read full review...
