Better then expected

After trying cheap brand, and realized drawbacks, I looked for something more of higher quality. I took several products and brands into consideration and compared. This projector came out to be the best choice in terms of price, specs and authentic look. It has excellent image quality, and 9pt type still readable - so it is great for presentation. The image is visible even in daylight.
Good and easy to use focus setup.
Although the projector does not come with lens cover, so it is best to cover it when not in use.
It has high altitude setting-which is crucial when you live in mountainous regions.
Films look great on it.

Great projector, best bang for your buck.

I love this projector. I have a no name LED Chinese projector that was ok up close in a totally dark room, but this one is phonominal. I hosted a Super Bowl party and projected it onto my garage door from outside. We had campfires and other light sources but the projector beamed it's beautiful crisp image onto my 16 foot widescreen. Great Projector for any Use!

I projected from my computer to a well lit (sunlight) room and it added light overall to the room once it warmed up (and I projected it on an off-white or tan wall at 10' away)!!! Vibrant colors and HD compatible. The 16:10 aspect ratio matches most laptops that are wide screen these days (are they still making them 4:3)? Very easy to use and well built. good quality!

It's amazing and well worth the money

This projector is amazing! The image is terrific and well defined even in a somewhat lit room. The projector is super easy to use, just plug in an hdmi and it does the rest. I chose this projector after lot's of research. It has everything you want/need in a projector. for the price, I think this is the best you can get online. I was scared since i got the refurbished, but it was $230. Cannot beat that price. I had some cheap Chinese one that says 2000 Lumens 800x600.
Please have my advise not to purchase any of those, it will just become a waste after you purchase it. Sound of fan will annoy you when watching a movie, you wont be able to see anything during the day, throw is so bad you need a huge room, you cant adjust much ratio, so you will be stuck with only one setting.
I had viewsonic projector 15 years ago, and i used to love it, this is a second viewsonic product i have bought in my life, and i fell in love once again. You get your money worth, trust me.
I live alone at a one bedroom apartment, using full length of my not-so-big living room, I am getting 115 inch. Bought a 3D glasses, and watch 3D movies during day time. My couch became a heaven, I was usually a bed type of person when it comes to being comfortable, but now I totally became a couch type of guy.Read full review...

ViewSonic PJD5555W DLP Projector WXGA 3300 Lumens Blu Ray 3D HDMI !

Hooked it to my laptop with the VGA cable. It is pretty much plug and play. Many nice features but very easy to use.

Not as sharp

Products lens is hazy- has some kind of film on it. Works pretty good. not as sharp as 2 identical projectors I have.

Easy to use, great picture

Simply put, I don't believe you can buy a better picture for the money. Time will tell whether the projector will stand the test of time, for now, A+. Purchased 9/2013.
