New 2016 Model
The new 2016 Model is significantly lighter (21.8 ounces) and has dielectric prism coating previously only found on Vortex's much more expensive models. For the price, this is a terrific bino.

Amazing value!!
I love these Binoculars! My friend had an extra pair of Swarovski 10x42's that I used for over a year and when he sold them I needed to get something quick but I didnt have $1,200-$2,000 bucks to spend on a pair of Binos. So i went to Sportsmans Warehouse to try out a couple pairs I saw the price tag on these was $239.99 and I liked the look of them so I asked to look through them I couldnt believe how clear they were. I looked through both the 10x42 and 8x42. I liked both of them but I wanted to do a little more research. I ended up choosing the 8x42 for the wider field of view, and they are much easier to use while on the move. And I found them on ebay for $140 from Eagle Optics so I bought them and am very happy with my purchase. You cannot beat the price on these optics plus the lifetime warranty! I am now getting ready to purchase the diamondback 20x60x80 spotting scope. I love Vortex and this diamondback line-up!Read full review...
Excellent
These are my first "nice" pair of binoculars and I am so far really impressed with them. High quality, durable, well made. I really like how the lens caps will stay close by to make keeping the lenses safe from scratches easy. They came with a nice zippered case for transporting. When viewing the objects are crisp and bright. Very excited to get out in the field and use them!Read full review...

Solid Hunting Binoculars
Bought these for duck hunting this year and they are pretty much ideal. Good clarity, good field of view, lightweight, and they seem sturdy. I much prefer these 8x42s over 10x42s - they're more wieldy and far better in low light conditions (pre-dawn).
Everyone mentions the warranty and for something like waterfowling, it's a HUGE selling point to me...because lets face it, everything gets scratch up, dinged, banged, etc...comforting to know there's a rock solid warranty for when (not if) these get damaged. :)Read full review...

Incredible binoculars
I have five other Vortex products and have been more than satisfied with all of them. This pair of binos may be the best of all. Super clear glass and very bright even in low light. Just superb.

Nice Binos!
This is the 4th pair of Vortex Binoculars I've purchased, the lenses are superb and the price is very affordable. Very strongly built, with a great warranty.

Excellent value, bright, sharp and clear
I tried a number of binoculars ranging from $200 - $800 and found the Diamondbacks to compare right up there against the more expensive binoculars. I feel they are an excellent value for the money.

Very smooth, compact, sharp image, quality build
The Diamonback exceeds all expectations for a sub-$400 binocular. The feel and function promises durability it then the warranty explicitly assures long term out of the box performance.
