Description Review

After playing micro mini games a long time ago and recently played Wario Ware Gold. I always want to play this game. The box is in fantastic shape and the game plays perfectly fine. I had to try it for my self after digging around for my old SP Game boy Advance. This will go great for my collection. One more thing the shipment came four days ahead of schedule, which is always a plus. Thank you.Read full review...

Puzzle/twitch with a twist

Wario Ware Twisted! is the second game in the Wario Ware series, and shares a broadly similar structure with its predecessor Wario Ware. For those not familiar with that game; it is a puzzle/twitch game combo where each stage is comprised of a number of "mini-games", each with a small objective to complete, within a short amount of time (around 5 seconds). At the end of the chain of these mini-games is a boss which must be defeated to advance and unlock the next level. The formula worked great in the last game, and this one continues in its footsteps.

The Twisted! part of the title comes from the fact that built-in to the game is a motion sensor capable of registering your left/right sideways motions. This device works like a charm and opens the mini-games to a whole new level of interaction as you move your GBA around, frantically trying to wash the dishes, shave the earth, blow up a balloon or avoid any number of enemies and obstacles. The just-one-more-go factor of the first title remains firmly in place in this sequel, even though the concept may be unfamiliar.

New, too, are the "Souvenirs" - after boss battles in levels you have already completed, you are awarded a souvenir. It could be a small game, a piece of music to scratch on the turn-table or something else movement based. With some hundreds of souvenirs to unlock, it is a collector's dream, and will keep you playing the same levels again and again.

Wario Ware Twisted!'s graphics are the anti-themes of the Mario world - bright primary colour schemes are swapped for dirty browns, greys and dull greens, a world with a distinct flavour of its own. The music, likewise, trades the happy-go-lucky of Mario with ad-jingles, disco tunes and psychedelic-inspired battle music to great effect.

Unfortunately, the move to motion sensing doesn't come completely free - all the moving about of the GBA makes Wario Ware Twisted! less than ideally suited as the perfect toilet game its predecessor is, and can wear on your arms and wrists. Worse still, however, is the way failing a mini-game now does not increase your counter number. This makes for a confusing counter when playing the levels, and makes completing the them harder.

These gripes, however, are minor and do not count as negative on the game itself. For anyone interested in a good puzzle/twitch game experience, Wario Ware Twisted! is a great buy and is well worth your consideration!

Wario Ware Twisted!

I purchased this game for my 5 year old who just got a gameboy advance micro. I came across Wario Ware Twisted and thought that this be more interactive for him since the game has a gyro motion sensor and you have to turn the whole gameboy clock and counter clock wise to navigate through the games. My son was able to pick up the controlling of the game since it was more physical and the games are fairly easy to play and fast. You basically get a smorgasborg of quick and fast games which your child can pick and choose from.Read full review...

Wario Ware Twisted : Original, fun, addictive gaming

I decided to try out Wario Ware Twisted because of the fun Wario ware games can be and because of the new twisting/ tiliting feature involved in playing the game. It uses a large gba game pack with an in-built gyro senser. You simply spin around or tilt the ds/gba (not your own body) according to the rules set out at the start of each successive time-based mini game (the limit can be 3 seconds for some modes). This makes the game incredibly accessible to everybody, but at the same time it can be a devilishly hard game and every single mini-game offers a unique task and way of spinning/tiliting. In this way the game never becomes boring or easy, and the endless variety of mini-games and difficulty levels makes it feel fresh and challenging for a long time after buying it.

I constantly come back to the game because of the quick, mindless fun you can have with it. All the mini-games are very amusing and sometimes the challenge is trying to complete each game whithout being overcome by laughter at what its asking you to do. The graphics, sound and humour feel very japanese and this makes Wario Ware Twisted play and feel even more original when compared to other games in general. I would rate this as one of the best handheld games I have ever played. Its unique yet simple visual style and controls make it incredibly fun to play, and it feels great not to use buttons for once (note that a minority of mini games use both twisting and buttons) . You could compare it to the way you play the Wii with the Wii remote. Moving the ds or gba makes you feel more immersed in the game, and when you combine this with the hilarity of wario ware its just perfect. I would definitely recommend this game to anybody with a ds or gba, or even if you just own a wii.

Universally accepted as the best GBA game ever

Many sites Have listed this game as number 1 for the best GBA game ever, and I personally would agree. A definite collectors must.

This game is like WarioWare Wii in that it doesn't require any button pressing but instead requires the player to control the game through twisting the GBA/DS.
This game has a bulbous end containing sensors that detect movement so when you twist the GBA to the left and right the action on screen mimics it. Fakes will not have the bulbous end and will be inferior on many counts as buttons are needed to control the game.
Otherwise this game is a compilation of Minigames each lasting seconds for you to realise what to do and then do it.
For a better idea of actual game play look at the other GBA warioware game WarioWare INc, which used more traditional button pressing for game play also well worth investing in.
NOTE- TWISTED was never released in euro so only American version are available.

An amazing game with amazing features and great replayibility. A must have!

WaroWare: Twisted is an amazing GBA game that takes advantage of an obscure feature for gaming, the Gyroscope. This game is a prime example of why it is better to play a game on the original console. An emulator for this game is not the same experience and you will be wowed by the controls of the game. The game is very unique for being one of the only games to use the Gyroscope and Rumble features. The game features a heap of collectables and items for you to try and obtain. Re-playability of this game is very high mainly because of the different ways you can play the stages. Minigames are picked at random which makes it fun to replay stages. A problem that may not necessarily be the game's fault is saving. Sometimes the game may not load savedata correctly and could end up making you restart your game, although that could be a good thing to have a fresh start, you may be cut short of trying to 100% this game and have to start all over which can be frustrating. The humor of the game is amazing. The developers went out of their way to make you laugh somewhere along the way. The game is such a great game for the GBA and a one of a kind.Read full review...

Worked Great, looks great

I played this game when I was little and it was all I could think about for a month so I headed over to eBay and found this. I didn’t mind the price and the cartridge played great.

If you have a GBA, you need this game...

This game brings endless hours of fun. Rather than using the buttons, you twist the gameboy and complete 5 second minigames that come shooting at you back to back to back. Some minigames use the twisting and the buttons, and some minigames just use the buttons, but nevertheless, its all fun.

Overall, I think the whole Wario Ware, Inc. franchise is soooo funnn... and you really oughta go out and get the game... its really worth the $20 you might spend on it... you could probably find some bargains on this game here on ebay though (less than $20)

Works fine, but just one problem

Everything about the game works fine, it's just that the rumble is weaker than usual.
