Basic, Average information of the M1 Carbine

As a collector of Military including the M1 Carbine for over 20 years and extensive study of the M1 Carbine I found that this book by Leroy Thompson "The M1 Carbine" to be a nice addition to a collectors library.
Though its a new release and is mainly just a basic 80 page book that covers the M1 Carbine in general and can give the reader a little more insight about the M1 Carbine.

It is NOT a extensive examination of the M1 Carbine, so if your looking to breakdown the carbine and study each part markings and history and identification I do not recommend this book. There are a few excellent in-dept books out that go
well beyond this book in detail, study, assembly & disassembly, history and so forth available for the serious collector.

This is a good book to add to your M1 Carbine library as for a basic book would go.Read full review...

Great reference book loaded with photos and information.

Dad served in the Army in the late 1950's and trained with the M1 Carbine. This book has a lot of photos and covers much of the history of this little service rifle. Very interesting and a nice gift for anyone who served and carried a M1 Carbine.Read full review...
