Good instructions and good recipes

This book is such a hit I bought copies of it for my son and son-in-law so the whole family has it whenever we want to grill out. Highly recommended.

250 pages 80 recipes.

you'd think a book titled big book of burgers would be a recipe book about burgers. nope. over 250 pages and about 80ish are burgers. of those there are MANY pages of HUGE pictures that waste an entire page. We are grown. We don't require picture books. Yes. I am 100% for pictures that point us to our destination but 8 x 10 glossy waste of real estate ain't needed. Portabello burgers are the best in the world. I have travelled to many a renaissance and state faire for no other reason but to try the Portabello burgers.
This book has one offering.

It's just a waste. I was looking forward to this book. You have no idea. I mean over 250 pages of bountiful burger recipes. NOT. I got more useful burger recipes from my backyard BBQ book.
It's summer I cannot tell you how I was looking forward to 3-4 solid months of grilling up new and interesting burger ideas. I am so let down.
over half the recipes that are in the book for burgers are same old same old.
I was looking forward to offerings on the line of Hemmingway's burger (which is FANTASTIC) if you can find it and follow it to the letter. But there is nothing like that here. salt pepper cumin chili powder and Worcestershire abound.
Kids getting married right out of college might have use for this....it may even have a few good recipes here and there but everything I've read so far is been there done that.
In my opinion this is a toss up. If you can get a good deal and are curious or don't know how to grill a burger then sure go ahead buy it. If you know what you are doing and try new things whenever you grill then I'd say give it a pass.
