This player is manufactured to a high specification. The viewing quality is very good, and the picture is very clear. The sound is adequate, but not brilliant - however, it is acceptable. I was a bit dubious before buying this as wharfdale nowdays is not the company it was once.Back in the day wharfdale was amounst the elite with pioneer,sony,panasonic etc then for some reason they went cheap and cheerful and took out a deal with argos to be there supplier on most of there products which i belive was a mistake as some people now wont touch them with a bargepole! as they had a habbit of catching fire and blowing up! and everything went wrong! now with this product they may be getting back to the top at last,great picture,a bit heavy and bulky though,not really that cheap and the dvd drive is a tad noisy,but for the price of £129.99 a bargain argos now advertises them for £79.99 but since they done this they have been out of stock in the entire country what a coincidence! you would have to pay £200+ to get better on a 10" screen,you will see them on ebay for about £70-£90 but be careful as the slogan you pay for what you get with most of these items is very true! if you dont mind dead pixals and scratches you should go for it,but thats not for me.Read full review...

a really good choice of portable dvd player with a large screen, dual headphone ports and re-chargable battery playing all regions of discs, mine came complete with its own carry case thar doubled for in car headrest holder, perfect. Wharfedale WDP1210

This is a great portable DVD player!

The screen is probably the most obvious benefit, it is large enough to take in the detail of films whereas some screens are so small they do not engage you in the action.

The second real plus of this machine is the kit which comes as standard with it, Car charger, remote control, leads to connect to a normal TV and a bag whic can be used to secure to a car seat for in car viewing are all present. This makes this unit a bargain at the Argos price of £129 I am sure it will be available from myself and others at much less than this price.Read full review...

VERY NICE PLAYER WHARFEDALE WDP 1210

Firtly I had better say I have never owned a portable DVD player, I have only had a quick look at the grandsons player which has a 7 inch screen which i think is to small to see much detail, so I bought a 10 inch model and i find it is very good the sound is nice and loud the picture is fine you can see all detail at a good distance from you, when I received it there was no instructions but it is very simple to use, I have read other reports about tinny sound but it sound fine to me , I also like that you can connect two earphones at the same time so two of you can watch and hear without disturbing other people, all in all I would say it does what it is supposed to what more can you ask.Read full review...

Large screen, plays all dvd's cd's and mp3 formatted discs. The portable sound is a bit tinny but the sound output through the audio leads is very good.

As a long-distance lorry driver, I use this model extensively, particularly where TV reception is very poor. The large screen (with its up / down swivel action) tends to draw one into the film being watched and whilst the volume quality is a little tinny, using the earphones supplied improves matters 100%. The unit is lightweight, easily stowed in the lorry's locker and if I had to list any negatives, the WDP-2110 is only available in 12 volt - most trucks are 24 volt - so a seperate PSU is required. Apart from this relatively minor drawback, I would certainly recommend this model be seriously considered.Read full review...
