Excellent bearing assembly, that I have used before.

The Timken wheel bearings are the best money can buy; however, even when Timken and other auto part suppliers say it will work in a 2007 Mustang 4.0 it is not a fact. I found during my attempted installation in the above Mustang the assembly would not drive in far enough to then reinstall the axles and locks. This was due to Ford using two different styles of axle housings. (which no one told me).

One housing has a tapered cone style bearing receiver, my housing has a machined lip inside that prevents the Timken seal and bearing assembly from seating deep enough. On my application I had to revert back to the factory style bearing with a separate seal. The factory style allows the bearing to seat deep enough to reinstall the axles and axle locks.

I have previously used the Timken bearing and seal assemblies in my Lincoln Town Cars and they are worked great, but the Town Cars have the tapered cone style receivers. I highly recommend the Timken bearings... but you need to know which axle housing you have before you buy, because the parts houses don't know which housing you have in your vehicle from the factory.

Great bearings, but sometimes information is lacking until you actually disassemble your own assembly.
