One of her best books but, the Author never finished her earlier series, so it remains open ended ready for a addition but never happened. She did this with at least 3 series.

Not one of Brigg's strongest plots. I bought this book because I like Brigg's writing and hoped that I would enjoy this one as well. I did enjoy the book but felt that some of the relationships between characters could have been developed a little more. The relationship each character had was clear, but it seemed as if some of them had been forced to fit into the story. I love this author...she is so entertaining and her characters so real!I have read everything she has ever written and am waiting for more.

I actually started reading Patricia Briggs with her more recent books, which I love. I picked this one up, thinking it was party of the 'Mercy' series. I was at first disappointed and then pleasantly surprised to enjoy this earlier sci-fi/fantasy work of Ms. Briggs. Now I'm looking for her other early works.Read full review...

A writer WELL worth reading

Patricia Briggs is a great writer. She also writes the Mercy Thompson series about weres, vampires and shape-shifters.She creates interesting well-rounded characters and her writing flows. Once I start reading one of her books it is very, very hard to put down.Read full review...

It was okay and you'll like it but she has others that are better.

It was okay. I've read a few of Patricia Briggs novels and this one isn't as complex her Mercy novels. There was plenty of great characters but it just didn't do it for me.
