A Dinosaur Going Through the Motions
A passable album of alternative guitar rock - no wrong turns but few genuine pleasures. Most of the songs are cut from the same mid-tempo cloth, and the vocalist's nasal drawl is a tad cumbersome. The sound quality is solid, but the earlier Dinosaur Jr. albums (You're Living All Over Me, Bug) had more variety and spark. I bought the album as an introduction to the band's later work and because it was an excellent price.Read full review...
