Handy valve spring compression tool.
Not a complex tool, but makes small engine valve spring removal easy. Not something I'll use often, but worked well on my Briggs & Stratton 20 hp garden tractor engine.

It was a little short for my Onan motor, I didn't want to take the time to reorder another, so I just welded a short piece on to the end and drilled and filed it, and reattached the end. It worked for dis assembly, I'm sure it'll be fine for reassembly as wellRead full review...

Good for DIY not for everyday.
Handle unscrews instead of releasing spring. Not quite strong enough for Kohler springs, may be fine for other makes. Did the job but had to work on tool a few times.

Not a quality tool.
Plastic adjustment nob unscrewed from threaded rod.
Works so so when compressing spring, nob loosens from threaded rod while trying to release compression. Tool slips and doesn't stay in position very well. Disappointed.

Rebuilt John Deere motor
