Do you REALLY need a huge screen ?

Yes, yes, some people think they need (want?) a smartphone with a 5, 6, 6.5 inch screen.

I want a phone I can keep in a pocket, even a shirt pocket. No quasi-tablet is very useful for large messages or epistles. The Z-730 is a bit larger than the ZTE, otherwise very similar. EXCEPT that it is a world (four band) phone, works wherever you have GSM service.

If you get a 730 that has been locked to a carrier, you can get it unlocked for about $1. That way, if you travel overseas, you can just substitute the SIM for one that will be much cheaper to use than through roaming charges.

The Z730 allows you to install a micro-SD card, to store media and some applications data. 32GB is a lot of audio and a few videos (movies not recommended - who wants a small screen for that? - but your own videos taken by the camera, or by another "real" camera - great to have). I also used a sound recorder app to record hours of conference sessions.

The Z730 also makes an excellent WiFi device, you can link all your emails, and access various websites, any time that you have WiFi access - these days - almost "everywhere", and that does not incur 3G/4G phone charges, and gives you faster access. I have a bunch of such apps on mine - Simple Radio and Map Factor Navigator stand out. The latter - works with the GPS receiver part, and needs the WiFi connection only to download maps ion advance of where you might go.

Camera is front facing only and OK for casual use, not great but fine for snapshots.

Bluetooth lets you connect the music player to a decent speaker or wireless headphones, and also allows hands-free phone operation.

Battery should be recharged nightly but can last longer if you turn WiFi and bluetooth off.Read full review...

The ZTE Concord V768 is perfect for a newbie on Android’s smartphone world. This phone is running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The display has a size of 3.5 inch with HVGA resolution. The pixel density is 164.8 ppi (no big deal). The internal storage and RAM are both a modest 512 MB. Fortunately, it has a microSD slot to overcome too small internal storage. It is powered by single-core at 832 MHz. There is only a 2MP camera on the phone but without LED flash :( it has Bluetooth 3.0, microUSB 2.0 port, and Wi-Fi with portable hotspot support, as well as GPS, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and 3.5mm audio jack. Presently this product has exceeded my expectations. It is exactly what I wanted. It is small, has all the features I need (4G, internet, blue tooth, etc.). You don't need to buy iPhone ( of course if you have money) or other fancy phones . ZTE Concord V768 has all the function you need ! Even you have an iPhone , I suggest you buy one ZTE Concord for your second phone . Or just buy for your high school sons or daughters this phone, the price is affordable for all people .

I HOPE I GOT A BAD ONE

I am an elderly person, that does not know much about cell phones. I read the reviews about this model. and it sounded OK. So I ordered one. I loved the phone. It was easy to use, and did more things than I would ever use. It only lasted 2 months. Today I went to several stores looking at phones. Now I am more confused than ever. Call me a fool, but I ordered another of the same model hoping to have better workings with this one. My original cell lasted two years with no troubles until it finally quit.
