ZEFAL mirror

I really like the ZEFAL mirror. I've never been one to ride with a mirror but after trying this one I can't see riding without one. It mounts easily and the rubbery strap is plenty long enough to go around the larger diameter bars of the Woodchipper style bar on my Salsa Fargo. The only reason I give it a 4 star is that the mirror is not glass but honestly it's not as bad as some are letting on and it does the job. Maybe if it were glass it would be better but i can't see it being much more clear. I am not seeing the warping as it seems to be nice and flat viewing. The strap is secure and the adjustments of the mirror are tight enough to keep it locked down and in place but allow you to swivel it as needed to dial in your best angle. Once that is done it stays in place pretty good. Occasionally I'll touch and knock it but that's easily fixed. I do need to remind myself when leaning my bike against and object to do from the other side. That's no big deal though.

I think this is a good mirror for someone starting out. It's easy to take off and move from bike to bike.
It's not too expensive and if you decide you want to go with glass and get a more expensive one then
you can. Otherwise I like this one for the value and the look.

What I like most is not only for cars coming up on you but when I'm on a trail I have is set so I can see
other riders that may come up behind me. I probably like this because of the style bar I have that flairs out (Woodchipper bars) which are wide enough and set far out so I can see directly behind me and not just to the side. Perfect Mirror for Cruiser Bicycles

The Zefel Spy Mirror has proven to be a quite handy accessory for my bikes.
It is easily installed and removed, and can be rotated quickly between bikes as necessary.
It is small, compact, and unobtrusive, and does not consume much real estate on the handlebar grips. This is especially important if you have large hands.

Great little mirror.

Excellent safety equipment

What is truly practical about this mirror is not that it is stable or large enough for full view of traffic behind but that it is so easily adjusted by one hand and that it often tells you enough to keep you safe.

I ride a recumbent so rear visibility is difficult but this kit really helps. Add to this it is very easy to knock mirrors on mount and dismount.

I now ride with two mirrors on the cockpit peering over my left and right shoulders with the right one mostly for that especially dangerous period when I am signaling left and obstructing the left mirror.

I've always like the Zefal Spy. If you're using bar end shifters, the Spy lets you put the mirror on the bike, rather than using a mirror that clip onto glasses. The view is surprisingly generous, given the mirror's small size. It's not as clunky as the one made by Ortleib.

I'd actually prefer a bar end mirror, but if you can't use one, I think that this is the best option out there.Read full review...
