The pedal is very solid build. There is not much of sound versatility, basically you get one good sound with little nuances but that sound is a killer. It is very modern, nothing like Marshall, Mesa or tubes, rather kind of synthetic almost unnatural sound. It is very quiet when you mute string. Best sound for palm muting riffs I ever got off my guitar. It is transparent, no mud or buzz. It is more WRRRRRR then BZZZZZ. The lead is not so great though. I would choose different sound for solos. The only thing I do not like, lowering gain takes too much of trebles away, so you have to fiddle with gain and treble simultaneously. Also, I found it hard to make the amp EQ sound good with the same settings on clean, so when using clean sound, you make some compromises. But if you only want brutal distortion for metal riffs, you get that. To me the best thing is that you get quite a unique sound you do not hear around. That is the reason I do not recommend it, I want it to remain unique, just mine...Read full review...

The heaviest metal pedal. Period.
I have tried pretty much every distortion pedal made, and the Tri metal is hands down the best. Thick, monstrous, crushing distortion, not buzzy or tinny like some others (metal zone). The range gives a wide variety of tones. Not for rock, blues or grunge, but the Holy Grail of metal tone.Read full review...
