As an interface this is a clumbsy option. It requires lengthy setup and doesn't support popular programs such as Protools. The inputs are allocated to certain channels so are restricted. Love my zoom

I have used a zoom r16 as a control surface and interface for years. It does great for my use, I highly recommend it. I use my zoom in Cubase and it interfaces great with it.

The device is a great product, can be used with a computer for record 8 channels simultaneously trought a Daw Software or can be used for recording and mixing directly in the memory card (Max card capability 32 GB)of the device.
