As others have stated...

As others have stated, modification is required in order for key to fit inside the case. You’ll need to cut/drill out portions of the case to allow key to sit flush in the smaller part of the case that actually holds the key, which shouldn’t be a necessary task by the consumer. Just take your time while filing and you’ll be fine. It does present a gap (not very noticeable) in the case once filing is done, but a relatively snug fit is still achieved. Product arrived fairly quickly, was well packaged, and in tack. An otherwise seemingly strong case that I believe will last and serve its intended purpose. I would rate it five stars if weren’t for the fact that I had to make modifications. However, I would recommend product to others. Particularly, if you’re on a budget and prefer not to pay stealership prices. Read full review...

Typical bait and switch, you look at the product and tell me it's an authentic Lexus key fob replacement.

There's probably a way you can add a key blade to make a spare key, but I couldn't make it work for me, also the advertisement showed a Lexus product number just like what comes from the dealership, however this is a copycat & didn't have the OEM # as it appeared on eBay.Read full review...

Works fine, not a perfect fit however

Housing came quickly and it was not difficult to assemble, but the fit (as others had reported previously) just is not great. The key works and I am confident I could disassemble and file down the key shaft or the plastic housing to facilitate a better fit, but since it is my only key I may just leave well enough alone. Seems like a simple matter they could have gotten right, but at least it works reasonably as is. If it fit better I would give five stars.Read full review...

Good replacement for your existing broken shell

I bought it for my is300 after the case broke on the master key. Everything fit good, but it has this tiny gap on both sides. But it gets the job done, and houses everything good. Plus it saves me cash for a locksmith since the other keys you need to cut. Would recommend if you’re not looking for perfection, and on a budget.Read full review...

Meh, imperfect for key

I used this to replaced the broken housing of my Toyota-made key. Sadly, the steel part of my factory key is super-tight within this new aftermarket key case, to the point where the plastic of this new case cracked. Happily I am still able to use it (it’s still better than my old key housing), but I don’t think it will last as long as it should given the crack. I might be able to strengthen it a bit with some epoxy. It might have been reasonably possible to adjust the metal part of my key with a file.

ebay is the KEY!!

My DIY Lexus key shell was so, so easy to put together. I even bought a brand new lithium battery to put inside. Everything works perfect. This was a great buy.

Ok requires modifications on Rx400h key

Worked after considerable filing on the inside of case buttons are recessed as opposed to protruding also very-thin where I had to file with a Dremel tool to make the key fit the case. Luckily it does work and positive it was only $5 bucks. Cheap I guess you get what you pay forRead full review...

Exactly as described

It's the part I needed. I just need to remove my old key to the new remote.

Great way to not waste the key

This key case was perfect for fixing a cracked shell. I was able to reuse the electronics and old key without having to pay dealer prices or recutting a new key.
