Why Bose no longer manufacturers buttons on top of radio

The sound is incredible! Unfortunately, the older Bose (with buttons on top); encounters a problem if you skip a track. The CD player malfunctions and takes a while to play CD upon hitting play button. It actually starts CD from track 1; too bad because I loved having the buttons on the radio (they don't manufacture these anymore and there must be a reason why). If you lose the remote (which is often common); right?! then you have to go out and buy a new one / :Read full review
