Great for smaller weeds, not so much for larger ones
Great for very the small weeds that sprout after heavy rain, and small weeds growing between pavers, all without bendings. For anything larger than about 3-4cm tall, it's not necessarily faster than pulling them out by hand. You get a good flame with a new gas bottle, but after a while the gas slows down, giving only a weaker flame.
It won't deal as effectively with medium-large weeds though: use your hands or a weed extractor tool for those.
To light, you may have to adjust the angle until it lights. I have to hold mine in the vertical position. Butane canisters are cheaply available at supermarkets, hardware, automotive and camping stores.
Make sure you use it with care, wear thick shoes and watch the flame doesn't go near your feet or hands.

Does the job reasonably ok.
A good little flame weeder that does the job ok. Not as good as a propane or diesel burner, but still quite effective, and good value for money.
The igniter failed quite quickly, so I use a cheap gas lighter to light it, not a major problem. Like all devices that use these butane cartridges, it suffers from slow gas take-off. When the cartridge is warm, the gas comes off quite quickly and it burns well, but the bottle soon gets cold, and the gas rate slows dramatically, affecting the torch's ability to burn. Cheap and effective. Good tool with proper use
It's hard to rate this product precisely as I don't have anything to compare to other than my gas lighter! I found it extremely easy to use and it is not expensive. The flame might go off by itself (could be my fault for smothering the flame by dipping it too low) so you should be careful and should either switch off the gas or re-ignite the flame. You might have to push the button a few times for re-ignition, but is that normal for all similar gas tools (such as a gas lighter)? As such, there is a small risk in using the tool. However, this is not a children toy, while accepting the fact that users have to take full responsibility for proper use, I would prefer there is clear warning imprinted on the tool. Flame nozzle needs to be smaller to concentrate the flame for more accuracy and heat intensity. It is disappointing that it takes too long to burn live weeds. Easy to use. Gas containers must be purchased separately. Easy to fit. Care must be taken when using on weeds in mulch. Just move mulch away from weeds before burning.
