Bit muddy sounding out of the box but overall a solid set of earphones.

The sound of these earphones are a little underwhelming, though it does partly depend on which set of ear cups you use. The thicker ones sound more muddy and dark. The thinner ones sound a bit brighter. But all of that is kind of irrelevant if you use some sort of EQ. Once I EQed the sound it was great. They are comfortable and stay in my ears well. They come with different sized ear cups which was very useful for me. They seem to block outside sound pretty well. The detachable cord with the option to just buy a replacement cord is brilliant. Overall I am happy with my purchase.Read full review...

Shure(?) In Ear Headphones

I bought these to replace one of three sets I own as one of the capsules had been stood on and cracked.

I am suspicious that these are a clone copy rather than real Shure brand. If not that, then Shure has changed their manufacturing or parts suppliers.

These work ok but do not give the same Bass response as my other sets so they sound quite high pitched.

There is no Red dot and Black dot on the capsules to show right and left. The cord is much stiffer than the other 2 pairs I have. Also the case is slightly bigger, the lettering not quite the same and the zip runs the reverse direction.

However I only need these for occasional use and the price I paid for them was about half what I paid for the others from a music shop so it balances out I guess.

The sound quality is the biggest problem if you were needing to use them for a major performer they wouldn’t be acceptable.

First ‘real’ IEMs, positive overall experience so far.

I've never tried serious IEMs before. These ones are nice. Sit comfortable, cable noise is rarely heard. I wear them with cables around the ears, as the instruction suggests—probably it's *the* way to wear IEMs, I don't know yet. A few different molds are included, and I think I've found ones fitting. The construction seems to be solid, I don't think I'll accidentally break the cable (as it happened before with cheaper in-ear phones).

A downside (probably of any other IEMs as well) is that some time is required to put the phones on or off, probably I'll get used to it though.

I like the sound, not too much but enough bass. Probably a bit lacking in high frequencies, but of course that's just me after Beyerdynamic cans that maybe have an excess of those. (Also, I don't know how IEMs should or can sound like, so my opinion isn't really relevant.) I can listen to music on pretty low levels even in a street noise, but it's dangerous in that you may not hear a car driving right behind you.

Great earphones for the price.

Excellent sound quality but takes getting used to for comfort. Doesn't work as well inside my motorcycle helmet as my silicone moulded earphone plugs. The cable dropped out of one earplug and took some getting back into connection. Not as versatile when you are moving around as opposed to sitting still.Read full review...

Nice long cable. Not enough bass, too much high end ringing. Sound quality is not worth what you pay. I got better sound with phone earphones!

Nice long, thick cable. Sound has not enough low end/bass, and way too much high end ringing/squeaking, which was very annoying onstage. I'm a string player who plays in a lot of church bands. I ended up using a low priced but decent quality pair of Xiaomi/Mi Piston 3 phone earphones onstage instead, as they give better results. Even a AU$30 pair of Sennheiser phone earphones gives me a better sound (in my opinion) than these 215s, at less than half the price.Read full review...

Tinnie sound and cumbersome to put on

The biggest issue is the tinnie and hollow sound lacking in base and depth. This well below par for the price of these units.
The sound isolation isn't as strong as stated and no different to other rubber bud earphones.
The specific fitting orientation means they are also a little cumbersome to put on but I suspect with practice this will become second nature. Once inserted in the ear they are very snug fitting, stable and comfortable, which is the best feature of these ear buds.
Overall not worth the higher price tag if you care about sound depth quality.

An alright investment.

Pros:
- Modular
If the cable breaks (which is where earbuds generally do break, rather than the drivers themselves) it can be replaced significantly cheaper than buying a new pair.

Cons:<br>- Very strong mid tones
Generally speaking, I don't like having much mid, let alone this much. Quality-wise they're okay, but need a lot of EQing to get decent lows (very muddy) and the mids need significant nerfing.

Great travel iem for the price.

Sound quality is okay, but you can find better at this price point. The highs are rolled off and sometimes the mid bass boost is too much, though some may like how it's never fatiguing, harsh or sibilant. I gave it 5 stars for it's overall package. I have yet to find an iem that is as comfortable, and it has great isolation and build quality. These are excellent for on the go use. My Etymotic ER4SR are more hi-fi and accurate, but these are the ones I take with me more often when on the go as I would not be critically listening most of the time when I am out and they are more convenient to use compared to the Etymotics.Read full review...

Great earphones for the money

I've got the wireless SE215's and wanted a backup pair without spending too much money. If anything the wired set sound even better than the wireless. The sound is clear with both good bass, mids and treble. They fit comfortably in my ears and block out a lot of ambient noise which means you don't need to have your in ear volume set particularly high. Read full review...

Best earphones

Live up to the name best earphones in the world. But make sure to choose the right plug size. Foam plugs are just a bit flimsy.
