TP-Link Archer T9UH a good product but needs updated drivers

TP-Link Archer T9UH a good product but needs updated drivers from the TP-Link website. The drivers supplied on the CD that comes with it do not work well on my system, the WiFi kept dropping out.

Eventually I uninstalled the supplied drivers, downloaded new drivers from the website and installed these and it worked perfectly.

I have used this device with Kali Linux version 2021.1 on VirtualBox with extensions installed to get the latest USB 2 and 3 connections which are needed to connect the TP-Link to Linux to do scanning for a TAFE course. VirtualBox is hosted on my laptop running Windows 10 Professional.

I recommend this product with the proviso you use the latest drivers.

A solid and reliable performer.

Trouble free installation. The TP-Link Archer 1900 dual band ISB3 adapter connects quickly on boot up and maintains good signal strength.
Only had one disconnect in the first few days but none since so could have been an aberration. Am pleased with performance which rivals and exceeds the Netgear 1200 ac dual band adapter which I'd used for years but had developed boot up time connection issues with connecting and disconnecting .
The Archer has no such issues.
Upon installation a USB icon appear on the task bar and enable removal of the media should you desire it. Just be careful when removing other USB devices to sect the appropriate one.

Great wireless solution

I was looking for a wireless solution for my desktop PC that was capable of accessing my home wireless network using a fast ac connection. I read a number of reviews that praised the TP-Link Archer T9UH as being fast and stable. I can confirm that this has been my experience, My internet connection speed now (using a wireless connection) is exactly the same as when I connected directly to me modem/router via a cat6 ethernet cable. My transfer speeds to my network drive have been impacted slightly, but they are still pretty fast - plenty fast enough to stream music and movies. Very happy with this product.Read full review

Great item shame TPLink dont keep their drivers up to date with the latest operating system updates.

I recommend the item for mac but only as high, as High Sierra. The beta drivers for Mohave and Catalina may stop the wireless card from working after updates. This is definitely the case for Catalina..You need Catalina 10.15 and no higher for it to work, don't let your mac update any higher or the item may fail .Read full review

This wifi usb adaptor saved my day. No more internet dropping out.

My internet was dropping out all the time and driving me crazy. I finally bit the bullet on one of these babies and my internet hasn't dropped out once. Phew, I was about the throw my desktop, which is in my bedroom which had no internet, out the window. Read full review

Improved Wi-Fi coverage

It helped to ensure my laptop connects reliably to the router, which is in another building, about 12-15 m away in total distance. It's not inexpensive, and it needed the provided CD to get the software going (rather than the download), but it meets my requirements.Read full review
