Slow but sure!

The Volumetrics Weight-Control Plan by Barbara J. Rolls

The thing I love most about this book is that she gives you meal plans and also the recipes for those meal plans. It doesn't tell you just to substitute fruits and vegetables for higher calorie foods and snacks but shows you how to do it. The recipes are easy and delicious! I've been following her advice for 1 month now and have already lost 15 pounds. This includes exercise 5 days out of 7 too. I don't think people should look at this as a diet book but as a way for permanent healthy eating changes.

If I HAD to be critical about anything it would probably be that it MIGHT be a bit long on some explanations. For me though it was best to go straight to the middle of the book, jump right into the meal plans & recipes and then go back and read other parts of the book as time allowed.

This book has helped me more than any other book I've tried and it's so much better for your health too. No fad stuff, eating one thing for a month or anything bizarre. Just like anything else this book WILL NOT be for everyone. If you don't like vegetables you're wasting your time and money on this book.

This isn't a "fly by night", "make a quick buck", lopsided logic, "plan of the month" book.

This plan is based on sound studies, research, information, sound advice and knowledge of the basic human nutrition requirements. It's easy to follow and provides you with everything needed to drop some weight or maintain weight and feel wonderful while doing it.

It's only an added bonus that a leading consumer report organization qualifies it as the best all around plan.

It pretty much tells you and a long drawnout way that you must cut fats, eat fruits and vegetables that contain a lot of water and eat soups for lunch. Its ok, but thought it would be better.
